Movies

We decided to join the movie club (whatever it is called) at Blockbuster. Well we mainly decided to join because we had a $30.00 late fee and this would cancel out the fee and sign us up for it. It is $29.99 at Blockbuster per month and you can have out 2 movies at one time and rent as many as you want for that entire month. Well I wasn't going to do it, but we have well gotten our moneys worth. Just since the 15th of May we have rented

Reign Over Me
27 Dresses
Resident Evil
Untraceable
Rendition
Mr. Brooks
Things We Lost in the Fire
P.S. I Love You
The Brave One
The Bee Movie
Freedom Writers
Awake

and today I just got
August Rush and
Good Luck Chuck

We will watch August Rush tonight after dinner and maybe Good Luck Chuck if we get time. I think we have totally gotten our moneys worth with this.
There are so many others that I want to see too, so I think this is a good thing. I am really enjoying it and we still have until June 15th to rent. I think I will join again in June too.

A few projects I have been working on

Been working on a bunch of stuff lately, and have just been busy with all of it and life in general. The weather has been stormy and rainy for a few days and I think those are the best days to stay inside and get stuff like this done. Started and finished these up this morning. Super fast and easy. They are just door knob hangers. One with Caleb on it and the other with Jacob. Just saw something similar and wanted to make them. Going to put them on display at the store.

I bought this paper when it first came in with these rhinestones and the matching paper flowers. I had the layout idea in my mind, but had no idea what picture I was going to use or what the journaling would be about. Well as soon as I saw this picture I knew that I wanted it to be the one. I just remind Jacob of how much I love him in the journaling.

This is the guest sign in book that I have been working on for my brothers wedding. His wedding is June 7th, and I just started it last week. I had ideas, but just didn't know how I wanted to do it until I had a dream about it and then I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I think it turned out really nice and I hope that they really like it. There are no pictures in it at the moment, but their engagment pictures will be in it when everyone signs in at the wedding. The colors are green and pink.

It isn't complete yet but is most of the way finished. I need more jump rings and then to put ribbon on those and stuff like that. I am going to email him the photos of it right now and see what he thinks.
Well tomorrow is Memorial Day and we have no big plans. Jacob has to work and I am going to my moms in the morning and we need to get some shoes for Jacob for the wedding and for me as well. Then I think we are having chicken for lunch at her house and then we will come home early and relax and the kids will get ready for school the next day.

Greys Anatomy and American Idol

Well since we canceled our charter we no longer have tv at the moment. We are trying to figure out where we want to go to. We are leaning toward Directv but we will see. So this unfortunately means that I cannot watch the 2 hour season finale tonight. I can watch it online after but still. But I am excited to watch it when I can. 2 hours of Greys anatomy. WOOHOO!! I love this show.

Well I didn't watch the end of American Idol either. But I did read online this morning that David Cook won last night. Cool. He was good.
Here are the before and after pictures of the kids from when they got their hair cuts. Here is Jacob.

I think they all look so much better with their haircut.
Well today is so cold and cloudy and overcast. Just the other day it was 101 and the kids were in the pool and here today we need jackets and long pants. Crazy.
Off to hop in my nice hot shower now and get my running done.

Marukai

These are photos from our trip to Marukai on Sunday. (The store photo I had to get from the website). The store is pretty cool. I love the bowls and dishes and fun stuff like that. Most people don't know that Jacob's grandma is full Japanese. So Jacob and all my kids have some Japanese in them. I think this is so cool. I honestly really didn't pay attention before to the fact that there is a big difference in Japanese and Chinese culture and food. We got to a Japanese restaurant sometimes and even though I get the same Teriyaki Chicken it is very good and has a different taste from Chinese food. I would love for us to go to Japan one day. I think that would be so amazing. Jacobs dad was born in Okinowa (spelling??) and came to America when he was 2 years old. Even though my kids (well the older to a little bit) look nothing like Japanese is is neat to say that they have that in them.

Most everything in the store is complete Japanese packaging and all. So if I don't know what it is, then I am not buying it because who knows what I am really getting.

Here are Jacob and Hailee in the cart together enjoying the ride.

I have all of our names written out in Japanese and I have a line of paper that I want to finish putting together a layout with our names written out on it. I think I might pull that out and work on it today in fact.

WOW we have been so busy this past week...

Been so busy this past week it is crazy. The busiest time was this weekend. Friday, Saturday and Sunday were packed full. Friday Jacob ended up having the day off since he worked 10 days straight in a row. So we got up and got his paycheck, went to the bank, got him and Baby Jacob haircuts and then went to IHOP for breakfast. After IHOP we went to the tax place to pick up some paperwork and then we went to Home Depot. Jacob dropped me off with Caleb to start getting some boards for the outside fence while he had to run home and pick up Ryan and Marcus. They have half day on Fridays and we didn't leave the door unlocked. So he met me back there and we got some boards for the fence and some stuff to try to unclog the boys bathroom toilet. We came home and then I had to go to work. Jacob had to go back to Home Depot to buy a new toilet because there were uno cards and a toy so stuck in the toilet they were not coming out. It was really cheap though, so that is good. So he got the new toilet on and the fence boards put up all while I was at work. I got home and he had just the gate latch to put on. So then we had to go pick up Marcus from Jacobs moms house. So we got some El Pollo Loco for dinner and swung by to pick him up. The boys ended up spending the night with Savannah. So we came home and watched 27 dresses. I had to work all day on Saturday. Jacob went and got us Tom's for breakfast and then I had to run out the door. I came home for lunch and then we were going to Jacob's sisters for dinner. They did it as an early dinner so Jacob and the babies headed over there about 5 and when I got off at 6:15 I headed over there too. We had tacos and hung out a bit. The older kids ended up spending the night over there this night. So we came home and relaxed. Sunday we had to get up and go down the hill. We had to have baby Jacob sized for his tux for my brothers wedding. So Jacobs mom and sister Jamie and family friend went with me. Jacob wanted to stay home just incase anything happened to the truck since we haven't driven it further than across town since we bought it. It did good except for the air started blowing hot instead of cold. After about 45 minutes of fighting with the stupid people for their mistake we finally got him sized and we were out the door. We then headed to Maruki in West Covina. It is a Japanese grocery store. Very neat store. I got tons of Udon for Jacob and the kids (the Japanese version of top ramen). I also got pot stickers and some Japanese trail mix stuff. So we headed home and dropped everyone off. Everyone met at our house for Jacob to refill their air conditioners with the kit he bought. So we all did this and then us and Jamie and her family met with Jacobs other sister and bil (Michelle and Tommy) at Del Taco for dinner and then we went to the fair. It was so much fun. Daniel and Kortney came too. We didn't leave the fair until almost 10:30pm. The big kids all got wrist bands and then the adults and babies walked around.

The first thing we did when we got there was go see the bear show. Cute. Hard to see and hear anything though. But the babies liked it.
Then we went through all the stalls with the pigs, goats and cows. (**don't mind the pink stroller, Hailee wouldn't sit in it and Jacob didn't want to walk anymore**).

Then Jamie and I took Jacob and Hailee into the feeding petting area. They fed the goats and the miniature horse. They LOVED this.

I actually had someone take a picture of me and Jacob while we were there too. I actually like this picture, and have been playing with it in photo editing. That is why it got saved as black and white. I am going to print it out big and frame it soon. As soon as I get more ink that is.
Daniel and Kortney.
Michelle and Tommy.
Jamie and Jason.

Caleb had his first taste of candy really. He had a handful of cottoncandy. He loved it.

Then we bought a few tickets for the little ones to ride some rides as well. We found that they weren't tall enough for many of the rides though. They got to go on a canoe together all by themselves.

Then they went on a flying one with Aunt Michelle and a spinning bear with Aunt Jamie.

They did get to ride on the turtles alone.

We went to find the big kids in the ride area. I love the ferris wheel and had to take a picture of it.

We had the kids stand by this Jesture to take their picture.

On our way out we were stopping for Michelle to get funnell cake and Savannah and Jacob wanted to be lemons, so we did.

I caught this picture when we were leaving and I love it. It is a bit blurry and dark, but I just love how they are walking together.

Sunday was such a long day and our feet were killing us after we got home, but it was such a fun day. We had so much fun at the fair. We usually don't even go, but just to see how much the kids loved every minute of it was so worth it.

I don't know what my favorite part of the fair is. We walked around the buildings and saw some interesting stuff. I loved the thin fish tanks you hang on the wall. Just like the thin tvs. So cool looking. The food, even though Jacobs zuccini cost $7.00 it was so good. HUGE pieces. The funnell cake even though we didn't get any I had a bite. Michelles corn with butter, parmesean cheese and pepper was pretty good too. The lights, I love the ferris wheel all lit up. I think it was just fun to get out of the house and have a really nice time with other adults and to see the kids have such a great time.
Yesterday was so busy too. I tried to leave and get all my stuff done super early because I wanted to beat the heat. Which didn't work since it was already 86 degrees at 8am. I had to go pay the gas and electric bill, post office for stamps and get some stuff mailed out, get gas, take Jacob Bakers for lunch, stop by credit union, to the library for Caleb's birth cerificate, to Target, stop by Jacobs sister Renees house for his mom to drop off some stuff, to Winco, drive through Taco Bell, pick up the kids at home, to the bread store, drop off Jacobs mom, to Stater Brothers for charcoal, Blockbuster to return our movies and pick out 2 more (we joined the monthly membership with unlimited movie rental), and then home. What a day.
Must clean the house today since I put it off most of the weekend.
Jacob made us dinner when he got home last night from work. Well he BBQ'd the ribs and OMG they were the best ribs we have ever had. Tonight we are having hamburgers.
Sorry this post was so long, just had alot to get caught up on.

Caleb in the shower, Mothers Day, and Chopsticks

We all have some kind of sick bug around here. Yesterday I had the worst headache I have ever had, dizziness and all stuffed up. I know it is mostly allergies, but it is horrible. Today both the babies are feeling not up to themselves either.
This past weekend was busy for us.
This was Caleb Friday morning. I started the shower to warm up and then was getting Jacob undressed. I didn't hear Caleb all of the sudden and I found him in the shower fully dressed in his pajamas having a good old time. I guess I didn't get in fast enough for him.

Saturday I worked just a few hours and Jacob had to work all day. So as soon as I got off I picked up the kids and we went straight to my moms house for dinner. My moms birthday was yesterday so everyone was there. My aunt and grandma and all. We had a good time. Lots of food as always. Then gifts and dessert.
This is my cousins son Ricky and he is 4. Jacob and Ricky had a great time playing together.

Here is my grandma (and Jim behind her) opening some gifts. Happy Mothers Day Mamaw.
Here is my mom and Jacob. Happy Mothers Day Mom and Happy Birthday too.

Here is my Caleb eating Mothers Day breakfast in bed with me. I started cutting up his pancake and he took it from me and started eating it whole. He sure did eat that whole pancake too. (no syrup of course).

Man I sure have to say that Jacob could put some to shame with his pancakes. They were the best pancakes I have ever had. They were soooooo good. (Thanks for remembering to put the sugar free syrup on mine babe).
Then I was treated to lunch in bed later that afternoon. Since Jacob had to go to work the kids made me lunch. I wanted to scrapbook but I was just not feeling that great. So they made me mac and cheese and better cheddar dogs. Yum. Jacob is in bed sharing this with me. I did get in a good 2 hour nap that day though and that was so nice. Much needed. Then when Jacob got off we went to his moms for a short bit to give her the gift we got her and card I made her. We ate some bbq chicken too and then we came home. Was a nice day.
Jacob ended up having to work yesterday too and I felt yuck all day. I had the worst headache and was dizzy and felt like puking all day. I had to stop at the store and went by my moms to say bye since she was flying home and tell her Happy Birthday too. We had an easy dinner which consisted of homemade nachos and they were pretty good.
I then had a staff meeting last night. I really didn't feel like going, but did. I did purchase this new Quickutz alphabet while I was there. Ok so I didn't purchase it, but my mom gave me her credit card number too do it when I saw her yesterday. It is my birthday present but she went ahead and did it for me now since we only had about 4 left in the store. So I got it early. :) YEAH. But I think it will be great for when I make Matt and Amberleys guest sign in book for the wedding. I am excited that I have another alphabet now though. Out of the 4 this one was my favorite new release. My second favorite was Fiesta, then Mademoiselle and then Exotic Island. I only liked Mademoiselle 3 because it is more femine and you know I have all boys so knew I would use the other two more often. I think I was really drawn to the Chopsticks one since Jacob is part Japanese and you gotta love the take out box it comes packaged in. I can't wait to use it now. GO AWAY DARN HEADACHE!!! (thanks again mom for the birthday present)

I can't wait to get started on my brothers guest sign in book for their wedding. I just didn't know exactly how I wanted to put it together yet and then I had a dream about it on Saturday night and woke up knowing that was it. It is going to be acrylic and then it will be lined paper for the guests to sign in and then acrylic and then sign in again. The colors are a very pretty shade of green and a dark pink color. Very pretty together. I am going to use Bazzill Bling paper in the shade of green, white and pink. Gerbera daisies and pearls and rhinestones and I can't wait. I have to finish getting all the stuff for it this week and start working on it. I am going to use my chopsticks on it for sure too. I want to bind it with XL white jump rings ( I think I will have to paint them white) and then tie ribbon and tulling in all 3 colors on the rings. I can't wait to get started. I will share when I am done.
Well I just too some tylenol super strength so I hope this headache will go away.
